If you sew, you probably own pins. A lot of pins. I did too — until I discovered an accessory I now reach for almost every time I sit down at my sewing machine: Clover Mini Wonder Clips (affiliate link).

If you’ve heard of these before, you might think they’re just for quilters. That’s what I thought too. But I sew clothing, and these little clips have completely changed how I put garments together.
The biggest reason I love them? No holes in your fabric. Pins can leave marks, especially in delicate materials, and once a hole is there… it’s there. Wonder Clips hold fabric securely without piercing it, which makes them perfect for things like silk, rayon, knits, and other fabrics that don’t forgive mistakes.
At the same time, they’re surprisingly strong. I use them just as confidently on heavier fabrics like denim, thick seams, and layered areas where pins can be awkward or bend. They grip well without shifting, which makes sewing feel calmer and more controlled.
Another unexpected benefit: they’re just easier. No poked fingers. No pins rolling onto the floor. No stopping to pull pins out every few inches while you sew. I clip my pieces together, sew right up to the clip, remove it, and keep going.

These days, I use Wonder Clips almost exclusively and only reach for pins in very specific situations. They’ve become one of those tools I didn’t realize I needed — until I couldn’t imagine sewing without them.
If you sew garments, work with delicate fabrics, or just want a more relaxed sewing experience, this is one small upgrade that makes a big difference.
